| In March of 2006, Indiana-native
Forrest Lucas signed a deal with the Colts organization
for $122 million to sponsor Lucas Oil Stadium. Lucas,
a selfmade millionaire, attributes his success to providing
quality. He states, "Our forte' is to make better
products for industries and specialty situations that
are not having their needs completely satisfied by other
oil products.”
Lucas started his career in the
trucking industry, first as a truck driver and then
owner of a nationwide long-haul trucking fleet. Unsatisfied
with the current automotive lubricants available, he
began mixing his own concoctions to create a quality
product to maintain his trucks. In 1989, Lucas founded
Lucas Oil Products in a small Indiana warehouse and
began selling his blended-oil product. Now, 19 years
later, Lucas Oil Products has become one of the fastest
growing additive lines in the consumer automotive industry.
